Underpinning is the process of strengthening and stablising the foundation of existing residential and commercial properties. This is done when these properties show signs of structural movement or the existing foundation is no longer strong and stable enough due to overtime soil changes. Reasons for an underpinning
We will exceed your expectations when dealing with you and your home ensuring your property is resting on a safe and stable foundation. We understand your needs when it comes to a home. You want to live in a safe and stable home and we can guarantee that. We will provide you with building and engineer permits. We are registered with Housing Industry Association (HIA) & Building Practitioner Membership. We come in and inspect the house, and if you have the signs needing underpinning, we will call an engineer to come out and complete a soil test and identify the depth and size of the pins. Then they will draw a plan instructing us how many pins are needed. After this short process is completed we then start by digging under the existing foundation to the required measurements according to our engineer’s plans. We will complete the job like no other. Levelling
Signs that you need levelling:
- Misaligned doors or windows
- Cracks on the plaster or bricks
- Uneven floors or sloping floors
- Bouncy floors
- Noisy floors
Levelling is process where we raise the floor and walls of your property to ensure that your home is sitting evenly. Your home may be sitting on concrete stumps or brick piers but can still move and become unleveled overtime. We use the latest and most accurate technology to determine the level of flooring in your home. Our equipment can pick up any faults in the foundation of your home where we will help strengthen. We aise the floor and/or walls to one level by “ack & pack” or “lift & pack”-lifting the floor and packing with plastic packers. The material we use is a high quality engineered plastic for packing and aligning. We use hydraulic jacks to lift the floors and/or walls judging by our computer level that determines how many mm exactly we need to raise or drop. We then add the packers between the bearers and the stumps.
